FACE MASKS

Face Masks are no longer required to be worn in-studio. Face Masks are recommended for unvaccinated dancers, or any dancer feeling under-the-weather.

DANCER HEALTH SCREENING

KSID teachers verbally screen each dancer for symptoms of COVID-19 upon arrival. Screening follows the Rhode Island Department of Health COVID-19 Screening Tool. Dancers who report or are exhibiting symptoms will be isolated in a specified waiting area of the studio until a caregiver is able to pick them up.

STUDIO SANITATION & DANCER CLEANLINESS

We’ve always focused on maintaining a clean, fresh, well maintained studio space. We’ve added extra layers to our standard cleaning procedures following the CDC’s guidelines using EPA approved disinfectants to stop the spread. High-touch surfaces are sanitized regularly. The studio is fully disinfected daily to ensure we continue to sparkle & shine.

STUDIO AIR QUALITY

Studio doors & fire exits remain open during class time. In addition to fresh air, KSID runs professional-grade commercial air purifiers in our studio rooms.

ILLNESS POLICIES

It is important for our dancers and dance families to continue to monitor for symptoms of COVID-19 and stay home if they feel sick. KSID will contact the Department of Health regarding safe operations of our dance programs in the event a dancer or teacher tests positive for COVID-19. Contact-tracing / attendance logs are maintained.

If your dancer has been sick, please wait at least 72 hours, after your dancer has stopped running a fever, without the use of fever reducing medicine before returning to the studio. Your dancer is not permitted to attend class if anyone in your household is sick with COVID-19. We thank you for your help and honesty, being mindful of how your dancer truly feels, so we can keep our KSID family well, or dancers safe, and our studio doors open.

STUDIO ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE

We have carefully and thoughtfully arranged our class schedule to allow for staggered start and end times to each class to minimize the amount of dancers entering and exiting the studio at any given time. The success of our schedule is contingent on your dancer arriving to class on time, no more than 5 minutes early or 5 minutes late.

ADD’L CHANGES & SAFTEY MEASURES

Dancers should be mindful of the surfaces they touch and minimize touching walls and mirrors.

Dancers may be asked to use a sanitizing wipe to disinfect their dance space after floor stretches.
Dancers may opt to bring a yoga mat to ensure a personalized space for stretching.

Our kitchen space is currently closed to dancers.
Please bring your own reusable water bottle to class.

No matter the precautions, the KSID Studio will feel like home as there is no place like KSID.
