Classes for dancers in 3rd - 6th grade
New dancers are welcome. First class is always free to try!


KSID COVENTRY STUDIO
Tuesdays 6:15-7:10
Thursdays 6:15-7:10
Saturdays 9:30-10:25

Our beginner classes include warm-ups and stretching exercises as well as dance drills focused on Irish dance posture and technique. Class starts primarily focused on soft shoe choreography. As our year progresses we begin to offer dancers a longer class time option to introduce basic hard shoe rhythms. All beginner dancers are encouraged to participate in our holiday performance, Merry & Bright, as well as our year end showcase, The KSID Spring Recital. Participation of course is not required. Dancers are also welcome to participate in Irish Dance competitions, as well as additional performance opportunities offered, as available, throughout the year, including our 2022 or 2024 Dancing in Disney performance.

TO REGISTER

All KSID policies must be read and acknowledged digitally through our online registration form. Completed registration includes: payment of annual registration fee, and payment of tuition.

CLASS ATTIRE

1. KSID tank or t-shirt

2. Leggings or spandex shorts
   Lads: Black athletic pants or shorts

3. Optional: warm up layer
   style example: zip jacket or sweatshirt

4. Irish Dance poodle socks
   Lads: white athletic socks

5. Irish Dance soft shoes
   style: approved beginner brands only (KSID policies)
   Lads: Irish Dance “reel shoes” or Jazz shoes

6. Hair tied up, off face for class

7. Reusable water bottle
   please no plastic water bottles or fast food cups

8. Shoe / Dance bag
   filled with: add’l poodle socks, bandaids, hair elastics

   TIP: remember to label all items with your dancer’s name!
