Avoca Company dancers continue to build upon their existing soft and hard shoe training as they learn more advanced solo, Ceili, and performance choreography. Avoca Company dancers are encouraged to join both section of Avoca Company, but this is not required.

Our Avoca Company dancers are encouraged to participate in our holiday performance, Merry & Bright, as well as our year end showcase, The KSID Spring Recital.

Avoca Company dancers may also chose to participate in Irish Dance competitions, the feis and are eligible to participate in the New England Oireachtas. However, competing is never required! Class focus will not be on competition, but on team building, performing, and loving to dance!

Avoca Company dancers are offered additional performance opportunities throughout the year, including our 2022 (& 2024) Dancing in Disney performance and our 2023 March Show season.

Did you know our Company classes get their names from Rivers in Ireland-in homage to both Riverdance the Show and of course, Ireland.

ADDITIONAL CLASSES

Avoca Company dancers interested in additional class time we recommend any of the following:

1. Fall Season: Dancing in Disney Production class

2. Fall Season: Oireachtas Trad Set class (drop-in pay per class)

3. Fall Season: Oireachtas Ceili Team class

4. Winter Season: Merry & Bright Production class

5. Year-round: Feis Prep class (drop-in pay per class)

6. Year-round: Private Lessons (30, 45, or 60 minute lessons)

   
   
   

TO REGISTER

All KSID policies must be read and acknowledged digitally through our online registration form. Completed registration includes: submitted registration form, payment of annual registration fee, and payment of Fall tuition. .

1. KSID tank or t-shirt

3. Leggings, spandex shorts, or skort

4. Optional: warm up layer
   style example: zip jacket or sweatshirt

5. Irish Dance poodle socks

6. Irish Dance soft shoes
   style: approved brands only (KSID policies)

7. Irish Dance hard shoesstyle: approved brands only (KSID policies)

8. Hair tied up, off face for class

9. Reusable water bottle
   please no plastic water bottles or fast food cups

10. Shoe / Dance bag
    filled with: dance shoes, add’l poodle socks, bandaids, instant ice pacs, bobby pins, hair elastics, deodorant, gaffers tape, shoe tape, shoe elastics, yoga mat, hand towel & healthy snack
